The brother of Bollywood star Aamir Khan, Faissal Khan, who is also an actor, recently opened up about a challenging period in his life during a press conference in Mumbai. He shared troubling details about his struggles with his family, his brother’s alleged affair, legal battles and why he chose to distance himself from his family. Read on to know all about it.
1. The actor recalled being pressurised by his family to marry his aunt. He stated that he had already gone through a marriage in 2002, which took place after meeting a woman in January and ended in divorce by December of that year. The pressure from his family to enter another marriage felt too much, especially given their own rocky relationships. He added that many family members, including Aamir, had faced their own marital challenges.
2. Faissal Khan shared that his brother Aamir Khan married Reena but later divorced her. After that, his brother was in a relationship with Jessica Hines and had a child outside of marriage. At the time, Aamir was also living with Kiran.
3. He also claimed that his mother, Zeenat Tahir Husain, and sister, Nikhat Hegde, wrongly labelled him as mentally unstable. They allegedly claimed he had paranoid schizophrenia, which led to a legal battle where Faissal Khan had to defend himself. The court case lasted for about five months with a ruling in his favour.
4. Faissal Khan further revealed that his family tried to force him to give up his signatory rights during this difficult time.

5. The Mela actor also announced that he had cut all ties with his family, both emotionally and in matters of inheritance. He added that his family forced him to take medication and kept him locked in his home from 2005 to 2007, like he was under house arrest. The Mela actor felt they did this for their own reasons and not because they cared about him. Hence, this painful experience pushed him to completely cut off all contact with his family.
