Brad Pitt’s F1 Had An Alternative Climax
The climax of F1 the movie had everyone crying with happy tears after seeing Sonny Hayes picking up the trophy after 30 years. But during a recent conversation with GQ, Joseph Kosinski opened up about the alternate ending shot for the film. He said, “We actually did shoot an ending with Damson winning as well… Where he went up there and held [the trophy] up.”
He further added that they might have just staged it to throw people off, explaining that this is where the entertainment lies, since anyone can guess the end of a movie. While the film’s makers stuck with Brad Pitt winning the final race, they did consider an alternate ending in which Idris’s success was progressively incorporated into the film.
