Before his shiny debut, the actor with a mother of Indian origin was on a promotional campaign for Red Bull and got everyone hooked before a potential Indian GP. In a now viral video shared by Arvid Lindblad, he was seen being fed sweet curd for luck by his maternal grandmother. She also applied a small tikka on his forehead and a black dot behind his ear to ward off any evil eye. She also performed a small puja before he went off, which was just so cute! Reacting to this, one fan wrote, “Never thought I’d see ‘nani’ on an F1 team’s content,” while another said, “This is the sweetest thing I have seen.” They were overwhelmed to see their roots shine on an international platform.
Another viral video showed him on a tour of the track while sitting on a staff member’s shoulders with the tricolour in his hand. He also performed donuts on the track, garnering loud cheers from the crowd, and interacted with fans while recording them on the phone. Since this event was held just three days before the festival of Holi, a fan called it the ‘best kind of Holi concert’ in reaction to this video. Lindblad visited the India Gate and a local market before the event.

Arvid also spoke about his connection to his mom’s side of the family with NDTV and said that he was very proud of his roots. Lindblad said that he has enjoyed his past couple of trips to India to explore this side of his heritage a bit more.
