EXO’s December Fan Event Sells Out Instantly, But Fans Question CBX’s Absence

Veteran K-pop group EXO recently announced that they will be making a highly anticipated comeback in December. However, fans were disappointed after learning that three members of the group, Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin, will not be participating in it. Things quickly got messy, and CBX (the unit name of the members) revealed that they were unaware of the progress of the comeback and EXO’s company, SM Entertainment, blindsided them. Along with the comeback announcement, SM also announced a fan meeting consisting of the 6 remaining members of the group, which completely sold out during pre-sale. Read on to know more.
EXO’s Upcoming Fan Meet Gets Sold Out
EXO’s upcoming fan meeting titled EXO’verse has officially sold out during the event’s fanclub pre-sale. According to the group’s agency, SM Entertainment, all seats at the fan meeting have been sold out. The event is scheduled to be held on December 14 at 2 PM and later at 7 PM at the Inspire Arena in Incheon.
The fan meeting will be attended by 6 out of the 9 members of the group. Suho, Chanyeol, Lay, Kai, Sehun and D.O. The three remaining members, Chen, Baekyun and Xiumin, will noticeably be absent from the event due to their ongoing legal dispute with the company.
In a statement released by CBX’s current company, INB100, they stated that CBX has made numerous attempts and adjustments in their schedule to participate in EXO’s comeback; however, SM remains unwilling to work with them. Media reports also speculate that one person in EXO himself is against CBX’s participation in the comeback; however, no evidence was provided to support this claim. Fans of the group are hopeful that the two parties can sort out their differences with each other and EXO can make a comeback with all nine members.
