D.O. Kyungsoo Announces Departure From Company SooSoo
According to a report by the South Korean media publication, Daily Sports, EXO’s D.O. is about to part ways with his current label, Company SooSoo and will hold a 50% stake in the company. The contract is set to expire on December 7.
EXO D.O. founded Company SooSoo in 2023 with his longtime manager from SM Entertainment. D.O. then moved to the agency in November of the same year, following the completion of his contract with SM. Reports reveal that the EXO member was granted a 50% stake in the company and was registered as its director.
Since then, Kyungsoo has been active as the owner and sole artist of Company SooSoo. This was the reason why his sudden announcement of departure from the label shocked netizens. Things further got interesting after it was revealed that though EXO D.O. will not be an artist under the company but he will still retain his shares.
He has been active as both the owner and sole artist of the company; however, he suddenly announced his intention to leave, reportedly retaining 50% of his stake. Netizens’ reaction to this news was divided. Many were confused as to why Kyungsoo left Company SooSoo when he is the founder. Some people worried about the employees, saying that this must be a difficult situation for them.

Aside from his solo career, EXO’s D.O. will be part of EXO’s upcoming comeback. The group is set to return in December this year. 6 members of the group, Chanyeol, Suho, D.O., Sehun, Kai and Lay will be participating in it, but Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin will remain absent due to their legal conflict with SM.
