In an exclusive interview with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, Urvashi Rautela opened up about an interesting twist in her career journey. The actress, known for her stunning beauty and poise, revealed that her debut in Bollywood was originally supposed to be in Yash Raj Films’ Ishaqzaade. However, she chose to let go of the opportunity to pursue her dream of competing in the Miss Universe pageant.

Urvashi Rautela On Miss Universe

Reflecting on her Miss Universe experience, Urvashi explained that the level of preparation required was as intense as that of an athlete. “You have to control what you eat, be very disciplined with exercises, and master various types of runway walks,” she shared. It was a rigorous routine, and she had to fully commit to it, even if it meant passing on a major Bollywood opportunity.

Ishaqzaade, which eventually launched Parineeti Chopra’s career in 2012, could have been Urvashi’s big break. However, she remained focused on her lifelong goal of representing India on an international stage. Urvashi explained that, unlike many other actresses who use beauty pageants as a stepping stone into Bollywood, her primary focus had always been Miss Universe. Preparing for the pageant took precedence over everything else, even Bollywood.
