Exclusive: Tanisha Mukerji On Fights With Kajol While Gowing Up: “She Had A Bad Temper…”

Growing up with your siblings can be chaotic. From the constant fights for attention to stealing each other’s things, it’s an experience. Similarly, Bollywood actor Kajol and her sister Tanishaa Mukerji used to banter with each other. During an exclusive conversation on The Male Feminist hosted by Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Tanishaa Mukerji spoke about how she and her sister Kajol used to fight in childhood.

Tanishaa Mukerji On Fights With Kajol

During the interview, Tanishaa Mukerji was asked to share her experience growing up. She said, “I used olive with my grandmother and great-grandmother, who practically raised me. We also had our mother’s brother and his two daughters living with us so I had not one but three sisters. Growing up, Kajol and I used to fight a lot.”

Sharing their little fights, Tanishaa said, “Kajol is older than me and she is physically also stronger than me, so our mother used to fear that she would kill me. This was because Kajol had a very bad temper when she was a kid. So, this one time when we were fighting, my mom came in between, and we then fought over her. So, my mom made a rule that though we were allowed to fight with each other, we weren’t allowed to touch each other.”

Tanishaa continued, “So all the kicking, pulling, and teasing was not allowed. I think it was a good decision from our mother’s side because then Kajol and I grew our own equation. This was because if a parent enters the children’s war, they might end up taking one side or try to sort out which might lead to one of them creating bitter feelings.”
