Sunita Ahuja recently made headlines after addressing divorce rumours with Govinda (once again) in her YouTube vlog. While she confessed that someone is trying to break into her house, Hauterrfly has exclusively learnt some details about the ongoing divorce case between the celebrity couple.
Sunita Ahuja filed for divorce in the Bandra Family Court on December 5, 2024. The actor’s wife has filed the case under section 13 (1) (i), (ia), (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955, which means the grounds for divorce are adultery, cruelty and desertion. The court has summoned Govinda, but he did not appear in person until a notice to show cause was issued in May 2025. Since June 2025, the couple has been trying to work things through with the court-mandated counselling. While Sunita Ahuja has been appearing in person in court, Govinda seems to be missing. At the time of filing this story, it was unclear if the actor had been attending court-mandated counselling sessions virtually or not.

The actor’s wife also urged the media not to share unverified information while adding that the media can connect with her to verify the news, and she will be the first one to confirm or deny. She also requested everyone not to believe in anything being said about them from their divorce unless it comes from her or Govinda.
