Sunanda Sharma Reacts To Some Period Myths

When asked about the long-standing belief that women shouldn’t wash their hair during periods, Sunanda admitted she’s heard it often but never followed it. “I always shower on the first day of my period. I don’t even know why this is a thing,” she said, brushing off the myth. Responding to the belief that women can get pregnant during their period, Sunanda candidly said she hasn’t experienced that and can’t really say anything about it.

While talking about if sour foods can delay menstruation, Sunanda Sharma said that while some people might experience this, it’s not something she has ever personally felt. Addressing the most debated topic, whether cramps are an excuse, Sunanda made it clear that menstrual cramps are real and painful. “They’re nothing like gym cramps. It feels like something is twisting you from the inside, especially worse during winters,” she explained, emphasising that it’s not about weakness, but real discomfort.
