Recently, singer Sunanda Sharma also opened up about it in a recent interview with Siddhaarth Aalambayan for The Male Feminist. The singer revealed that an artist’s mother indirectly told her that her success was solely because she was pretty, and entirely dismissed her talent as a singer. Yes, you heard it right. Read on!
What Did Sunanda Sharma Say?
When the host asked the singer whether or not any person had dismissed her success just as luck or a pretty privilege, Sunanda Sharma recalled an incident, “Yes, a female artist and her mother had come to our place. Her daughter sings really well, and she is also a popular artist. The mother told me that girls are only judged on their looks and the pretty ones always get more work. She also told me people hardly consider the girl’s talent if she looks pretty.”
Sunanda Sharma laughed about it and replied to the mother, “You can directly say I don’t sing well. What’s the big deal about it.” The singer laughed while talking about this incident. She also pointed out the many people are not well-aware of themselves but carry a lot of confidence. Sunanda Sharma said that she is glad to be self-aware.
