Exclusive: Sonakshi Sinha: “I Don’t Swim In India Because I Am Afraid Of Being Photographed”

Growing up, one can be teased about their insecurities too much in school, colleges, or in peer groups. This can lead to insecurities like body image issues. During an exclusive chat with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist hosted by  Siddhaarth Aalambayan, famous Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha opened up about facing body image issues while growing up. She revealed how she was conscious while wearing swimwear and that she never swims in India because she’s afraid of being photographed.

During the exclsuive chat, Sonakshi Sinha was asked if she felt conscious while wearing swimwear. To this, she replied, “I always felt conscious while wearing swimwear, especially while growing up. I don’t swim in Mumbai or in this country because I don’t know when someone will secretly take a picture and send it across. I don’t want it to be splashed all over the internet. I swim when I travel, I dive.” This saddens us the privacy of public figures like Sinha is really not in question.

Talking about her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal, Sonakshi Sinha revealed that her parents wanted her to have a bigger wedding. “I always wanted a small wedding. I am a very private person and especially for my special day, I wanted people who were close to me. My mom expected me to call everyone because dad has so many political friends,  and film friends, but I told her that it was about me and Zaheer and this is how we want it.” I should be allowed to make the decision and we planned the entire wedding in two days.”
