Saqib Saleem On Feminism
Crime Beat star Saqib Saleem had some wise words to say on his idea of feminism and whether or not he is a feminist. The actor said, “I don’t think I can ever be a feminist and I will be an evolving feminist. I will never understand what women have to go through. I can always learn about it and can always be evolving enough to know that this is what is happening. I am not conditioned to understand wholly what women have to go through.”
Saba Azad interrupted here and said to Salim, “You don’t have to feel what women have to go through to feel that men and women deserve equal opportunities. You are a feminist, don’t be in denial. You will always be a feminist if you believe in the equality of men and women.” Saqib further asked if that is the only criterion of being a feminist. To which, Saba assured him with a big yes. Saqib Saleem then went on to accept that he is a feminist.

Let’s not look at things from a gendered lens.” Saqib Saleem also said that all his life decisions are taken by his mother or sister.
