Exclusive: Saba Azad, Saqib Saleem On Intrusive Journalism: “Is There A Moral Responsibility…”
Saba Azad and Saqib Saleem will next be seen in the OTT series Crime Beat arriving on ZEE5.

In the digital age where grabbing the attention of viewers can be difficult, many organisations try clickbait to do that. Celebrities have been under massive pressure from the media, fake news and clickbait titles are a regular. But what some fail to understand is the effect it might have on a person. During an exclusive chat with Hauterrfly, Crime Beat actors Saba Azad and Saqib Saleem opened up about the same.
Saba Azad, Saqib Saleem On Clickbait Journalism
During the chat, the actors were asked about one thing they wanted to change about entertainment journalism. To this, Saba Azad said, “I think clickbait or intrusive journalism, getting into people’s lives. I mean what is that, I am sure you can find better news. That’s not entertainment, that’s an invasion of privacy.” Saqib Saleem also went on to add his views, “Ghastly how media behaved during what happened with Saif Ali Khan with all the conspiracy stories. I mean, it’s highly deplorable, a man’s gotten hurt and is in a hospital. I sometimes question if there’s even some moral responsibility.”

We have seen media crossing boundaries on many occasions. Whether it’s invading celebrities’ privacies, or publishing false news about them without any confirmation, one must have a moral conscious. For instance, last year Alia Bhatt too took to her Instagram stories previously to share that she was feeling watched. Two photographers had taken pictures of her from a neighbour building’s balcony while she was at home. Such instances make one think about how far paps might go for views.
