The tales of eve-teasing in Delhi are never-ending, with many women often facing such issues in their daily lives. While it has become a common thing, it must never be normalised. In an exclusive conversation with Hauterrfly’s 2 AM hosted by Janvi Manchanda, Delhi Crime 3 star Rasika Dugal opened up about a similar experience she faced during her college days.
What Rasika Dugal Said?
During the exclusive chat, Rasika Dugal revealed her college experience in Delhi. She said, “I used to live near my college for one year. And the stretch between my college and the residential area was a traumatic stretch for me. Because nobody used to be present in this area and the worst part is that sometimes there would be men opposite the gutter, and we used to hear strange sounds of them shagging.
And I don’t think it was fair, especially for young girls.” To this, Huma Qureshi replied, “Young girls’ college is the favourite place of these predators. They would be shagging, or they would pretend to pee, and when girls would pass them, they would just flash them.” Further in the chat, Shefali Shah also opened up about a man following her and coming towards her when she was in school. She said that it had become scary because when she tried running from him after crossing the road, he crossed the road too. And being so young, one doesn’t know how to react in such situations.
