There have been many actresses who have simultaneously ventured into establishing their own production houses. During our recent chat with De De Pyaar De 2-star Rakul Preet Singh, we were curious to know if she too plans on exploring other such career opportunities along with acting. Well, not just production, but the actor also spoke about her interests in direction. And here’s what she had to say about it. Read our exclusive.
We have seen you as an actor. We would love to see more of your craft on the big screen. But would you ever want to venture into production?
Rakul Preet Singh’s smiled and instantly said, “Ek kaafi hai ghar pe” (One is enough at home). She went on to add, “No, I just believe that never say never. I don’t know, well can I direct, never that’s something I will always say never to but will I ever get into production? I don’t know. I used to always think that maybe I have a little inclination, but I don’t know nothing as of now. Nothing in the near future. Eventually, we’ll see again.”
During the conversation, the actor spoke at length about her recent release De De Pyaar De 2 and the crazy amount of love she has been receiving for her role as Ayesha.
For the unversed, Rakul Preet Singh’s husband, Jackky Bhagnani is a producer. His production house is known for films like Sarbjit, Cuttputli, and Jawaani Jaaneman among others.
