The Jawan star spoke at length about the 8-hour shift demand, and also opined on the actor’s responsibility in this aspect. She said, “It’s very subjective. To each his own. It also depends on production houses. Some might say okay to your working conditions, and some may not be okay with it. If you ask me, there are some industries, like the Malayalam or Kannada industry, to an extent, that might not be okay because of budget, and want to finish the film in a certain time, so one has to allot their working schedules. Or maybe a co-star who is doing 15 other projects, and they have that much time and you have to finish it in a given time. So it’s subjective.”

Furthermore, Priyamani also commented on whether she had stepped away from a project due to any demands not being met or creative differences. The actor said, “No, I have not. I’ve always been an actor who has, but it has always been that they have actually adjusted to my requirements as in terms of if I was, only when I was busy, I have another project in hand. And if I had to finish at a certain given time and then go and travel and shoot something else, they were adjusting enough to finish it according to my availability, my schedule. And then so that I could travel properly and go and shoot elsewhere.”

Priyamani further recalled her recent shoot on the set of her Malayalam film Officer On Duty. She said, ” So I had to finish at a certain time. But unfortunately, what happened was that it was raining a lot then. And that is something that’s not in our minds, right? We can never predict when it’s going to rain or not. So that night, we had to cancel the shoot because it was a night shoot. So we had to cancel that. And poor things, actually, my given date was already done, but they called back again and they said, we’d really like for one more day. I said, Yeah, sure, no problem. Because, see, for me, at the end of the day, it is my project as well. So I have to finish it.” Priyamani said how she adjusted her days for that one day shoot as it was equally important to her.

The actor was most recently seen in Officer On Duty, and is awaiting the release of The Family Man S3, just like all of us!
