Nimrrit Kaur Ahluwalia On Inappropriate Comments From Casting Directors
During the interview, when asked whether casting directors have ever commented on her looks, to which she replied, “Haan hua hai mere sath, but aise koi ek particular incident nahi yaad. But aisa hota hai na kayi baar ki you need someone who looks a certain way and you don’t fit that look bill.” She said these preferences are often founded on a broad palette of physical features, not only facial features, but height, skin colour, and even breast size.
Though such feedback may not always be said directly, actors often pick up on the industry’s expectations, reveals Nimrrit. “Yeh aise bolte nahi hai, lekin aapko pata chal jaata hai. But one incident was the most memorable for Nimrrit, where the suggestion was made outright and unfiltered. “Haan bola hai.
