The mental health conversation is getting attention today; many celebrities have also opened up about it. In the latest episode of Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, Neelam Kothari Soni also spoke about the lowest phase of her life and what kind of response she got from other women after bringing the discussion of depression to the forefront. Neelam Kothari On Hitting Her Lowest Phase
When asked about going through the low phases in life which she also had spoken about on her show, Neelam Kothari said, “Everyone goes through a low phase, and we all have our own ways of dealing with stress and the phase of being low. People talk about mild depression and depression, I think everyone at some point has been depressed and we all overcome it. You move on.”
She further recalled the responses from women after opening up about depression. Neelam Kothari said, “After I did that scene with Ekta where I came out and spoke openly, a lot of women have messaged me that it’s so good that you came out and spoke the truth which takes so much courage. It also gives us the courage to see that a celebrity also goes through this and that we are going through this too but we don’t know what to do. I get goosebumps still when I see the messages.”
