Actor Mallika Sherawat has made a name for herself in the industry with films like Murder, Hiss, Welcome, and many more which can not be forgotten. The actor had been missing from the industry for a while and the audience really missed her presence on the big screen. So, in the year 2024, Mallika Sherawat decided to make a comeback in Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri starrer Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and has been receiving love for her role ever since. In an exclusive chat with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist with host  Siddhaarth Aalambayan, the Welcome actor spoke about doing bold scenes back in the early 2000s and how filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt made her feel comfortable during that.

During the interview, Mallika Sherawat was asked if she was afraid of doing bold scenes back in the day, to which she said, “No I wasn’t afraid. I had given myself to Bhatt sahab, I said main aapke haath mein hu, and I was just like clay. I told him he could mold me however he liked and he really took great care of me.” After this, she was asked if after doing such scenes, anyone questioned her or asked her to do something. Mallika Sherawat said, “I will tell you this funny incident, I was doing a song in South and the director came and told me ‘Madam want to show how hot you are, in this scene, the hero will make rotis on your waist.’ Can you imagine? These were the scenes back then.”

Talking about Mahesh Bhatt, Mallika Sherawat lauded him for being progressive and being a mentor for her. She said, “I have met some fantastic men in life and they have shaped me to be the woman I am today. Mahesh Bhatt sahab has given me wings and has helped me get out of those patriarchal shackles. When I was working with him in Murder, I used to have long conversations with him. Even the women in his family were progressive just like him and that’s how he helped me change.”
