Kartik Aaryan has been making waves on the internet with his latest movie, Chandu Champion. The actor has been receiving great appreciation from the audience for his phenomenal acting in the biopic. In an exclusive interview with Hauterrfly’s Yeh Ladki Pagal Hai, Kartik shared his experience shooting the biopic of India’s first Paralympics gold medal winner Murlikant Petkar and wearing a langot for it. Looks like the actor felt embarrassed until he embraced it!
Kartik Aaryan On Feeling Uncomfortable Wearing A Langot
The actor revealed, “The langot was made in ways in which I was comfortable. I roamed around in that langot for so many days so it wasn’t an issue. But initially, I used to feel very embarrassed because there were a lot of people over there. The scene was always shot in front of so many people, so I used to feel a little embarrassed that there were so many people here and I was running around or whatever I was doing, so it was a little awkward. Later, I got used to it and realised, what’s the big deal? It’s just a langot, what else.” He further added, “The shoot went on for so many days, all that running in and then some more sequences. So, for the long run, the langot was stuck with me.”

During the interview, he revealed, “I wasn’t into fitness until Chandu Champion happened. I had gained a lot of weight for Freddy and then later I had to come to this point where I had to look like an athlete. A proper athlete who can compete with the professionals. ” He further added, “I used to compete with real boxers and Olympians were swimming with me. So for everything to look correct and perfect, a lot of hard work has been put into it. It brought a lot of discipline into me. Hence, I didn’t lose my monthly gym subscription due to Chandu Champion, said Kartik.
