During the candid conversation hosted by Siddharth Alambayan, Karishma was probed about her journey from birth to becoming the strong woman she is today, addressing the societal pressure that yearns for a male heir. The revelation came like a thunderbolt when Karishma shared, “My mother cried when I was born.”

She said that her mother revealed this to her, ‘One day, can I tell you something? The struggle against gender expectations began right from her birth, setting the tone for her unwavering determination to defy societal norms.
Reflecting on her early years, Karishma shared, “It was not my family that was feeling bad that I was born; it was the pressure of the society and the joint family because someone had two boys.”
