Now, in an exclusive interview with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, hosted by Siddhaarth Aalambayan, the actor revealed disturbing details about Asit Modi mocking her caste, the slow legal process, and the police’s lack of action. No POSH Committee
“I was in Tarak Mehta for 15 years and there was never a POSH committee. As far as I know, there are more than 10 people. There should be a POSH committee. After i left, on 8th April, I filed a case. On 22nd May, the internal complaint committee was formed after being told. At this place, I have always seen women being humiliated in everything.
I will not take names, but we have seen our colleagues screaming on the set because of the production house. It is their thing. They don’t have the courage. I am talking about Tarak Mehta and other female actresses who have gone through a lot. Like Bawri, Monica’s mother’s death. She was on her last breath.
At that time, she was stopped on the shoot. My brother was taking his last breath. He didn’t let me go. After joining hands and legs, I was given 1.5 days. It was in Nagpur and I was in Bombay. Somehow, I went. This happened to many people.”
Jennifer Mistry Claims Asit Modi Ridiculed Her Caste
“I am talking about Asit ji. He told me many times that I don’t think you are a Parsi. You entered the serial by lying. Today I understand how many times he taunted my cast. I would have filed a case of casteist slur on him. I could not understand what he was saying.”
Police Not Taking The Case Forward
“I have not won anything in the court. The case has not gone to the court. The police are not letting the case happen. They are not letting it go to the court. It is a criminal case because they have their upper hand. They get a phone call and get paid. I have shouted in front of the police. The police were just standing like this.
They were not ashamed. I have met the Joint Commissioner of Police, ACP and DCP. They did not let the case go to the court. One day, I went to the collector and created a scene. I did a lot of drama. I went to meet the collector. The collector told me that there is a committee called POSH which looks after s*xual harassment. They already have a local committee.
The local committee of POSH did a lot of hearings. I was called. Mr Asit was called. A lot of hearings were done. He was asked to give his evidence. I was asked to give my evidence.

In the last year, he said, I have been victorious. I have to be given compensation. Asit Modi is guilty of s*xual harassment. When this news came out in the media, he filed a case with his lawyer in the industrial court, stating that it was a wrong judgement. There is no compensation or money.”
