In the interview, while talking about growing up in Delhi, Huma Qureshi opened up about how it felt to play the role of an antagonist in Delhi Crime season 3. Huma stars as Badi Didi in the show, the mastermind behind a chilling human trafficking ring.
“I had to do the opposite of everything that I believe in as a person.” Explained Huma Qureshi. The actress expressed her dilemma about how she played the role of the heinous woman who committed unspeakable atrocities against young girls. Huma said it was like she was told to play a character that goes against all her beliefs and values in life. “She is despicable, shoddy and very much part of the problem,” Huma said while describing the character of ‘Badi Didi’ in Delhi Crime season 3.
She contrasted Badi Didi’s character to her own personal life, saying, “I have always been a big advocate. I believe we should teach children the difference between good touch and bad touch.” Huma also revealed that she used her experience in this field to make sure the children don’t get uncomfortable and get desensitised to touch. “It was very important for me to play this character.” Huma also revealed while talking about why she chose to take on the role of Badi Didi.
