In an exclusive conversation with Hauterrfly, Dhairya Karwa, the star of the new fantasy thriller series Gyaarah Gyaarah, shared his ambitious vision for his acting career. With the series making waves on ZEE5 since its debut on August 9, 2024, Karwa’s performance has been a focal point, drawing attention to his nuanced approach to his roles and his future aspirations in the industry.
Dhairya Karwa On His Career Plans
During the interview, when asked about the trajectory he envisions for his career and whether it was shaped by a desire to explore diverse characters or a shift in script judgment, Dhairya Karwa said, “My vision has been clear for a long time, but achieving it requires constant reassessment and an objective analysis of where I am versus where I want to be.”
Dhairya Karwa emphasized his aspiration and said, “I want to be the massy you know, I want to be the leading man. Uh, an actor who’s known for his job, who knows his job well, but at the same time is a bankable name.” “I’ve never shied away from stating my goal. I want to merge creativity with commerce, becoming not just an actor who is skilled at his craft but also a bankable name in the industry,” he stated.
The actor also touched upon the challenges of avoiding typecasting in an industry quick to pigeonhole talent. “After you play a certain role, you tend to get similar offers because that’s what people remember you by,” Dhairya Karwa noted. He stressed the importance of occasionally turning down roles that do not align with his broader objectives. “To break out of being stereotyped, I’ve had to say no, believing that the right roles, which propel me closer to my ultimate goal, will come along.”
