What Ashnoor Kaur Said
During the exclusive chat, Ashnoor Kaur talked about not doing roles because she was not comfortable with the things the character had to do in the films. Talking about nepotism, she said, “There have been times when I have come very close to projects and have almost been locked for them, but suddenly they will call and say that ‘Sorry, we need a star kid for this one.’ That has happened to me for a very big film that was released recently, and it’s very common.”
Talking about her journey, she said, “I was 16 when I took a break from Patiala Babes. And after that, all the roles which were offered to me on TV were of married women, which I was not comfortable with doing. I didn’t want to play a married character as a teenager. Mini from Patiala Babes, Naira from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Suman Indori are three of my favourite characters. But many fans remember me from Jhansi Ki Rani and Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha.”
