There are often misconceptions about men feeling threatened by their partner’s success and how it affects a man’s ego. If your female partner is successful, you should be proud rather than feeling threatened. Bigg Boss season 4 fame Ashmit Patel shared his honest thoughts on love and relationships in the latest episode of In Bed with Shenaz hosted by Shenaz Treasury.

Ashmit Patel On Feeling Threatened By His Partner’s Success

When asked whether he feels threatened by his partner’s success? Ashmit confessed, “I haven’t been in a situation where I have been threatened by a girl’s success.” As he should! The host, Shenaz also asked him if he feels threatened by his partner receiving more opportunities than him. To which Ashmit gladly replied, “I wouldn’t be threatened but it would make me want to pull up my socks.”

He also added, “I would want to be the principal bread earner in a relationship, especially if I was married. I would like to support my partner more and not the other way around. I wouldn’t like to be a Ghar Jamai in that sense and I don’t want my partner to be doing the heavy lifting in the relationship. I’m a bit traditional in that sense.”

Ashmit Patel Believes In Male And Female Roles

The actor revealed his thoughts on male and female roles in a relationship. He said, “Definitely, I believe the man should be the provider.” He further added, “The girl should also pursue her love and passions but whatever she earns should be for herself. If she wants to go and buy expensive Gucci bags then she can do that with her own money and that’s something I wouldn’t encourage.” I am not funding that, said Bigg Boss fame Ashmit Patel. Ashmit also opened up about not dating an actor, he revealed, “A few years ago I made the conscious decision to not date an actor but never say never, you never know when cupid strikes and you fall in love.” For the unversed, Ashmit Patel was one of the finalists in the fourth season of the Indian television reality show Bigg Boss
