Who would have thunk that Sima Taparia will land an international award nomination for her matchmaking skills? Well, I am not joking around and this is quite true. In the list of all the shows that have earned an Emmy Award nomination for 2023, Indian Matchmaking was also on it. It was quite surprising to see this matchmaking reality show’s name on the list because its latest season has not received the best reviews.

Netflix’s Indian Matchmaking has earned an Emmy Award 2023 nomination in the Best Unstructured Reality Program category. For the unversed, this show has been nominated for the second time at the Emmy Awards. Sima Taparia took to her Instagram to share this good news with her fans. She also congratulated the Indian Matchmaking team and all those who were a part of the show for this achievement.

Fans congratulated Sima Aunty for this huge achievement and also said that it was a well-deserved nomination.

The Unstructured Reality Programme category includes all those shows that are based on the actors and the characters rather than a definitive plot. Also, there is no defined structure for these shows.

Mumbai-based matchmaker Sima Taparia’s show Indian Matchmaking has been one of the most popular shows on Netflix. She has clients based in both India and abroad for whom she picks the matches best suited to their interests. Well, so far, Sima Taparia’s matchmaking has not yielded positive results.
