Elvish Yadav Age Shames Ankita Lokhande; Asks Her To Play Alia Bhatt’s Mother. Respect Karna Aata Hai?

Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss fame Elvish Yadav, who claims to be a ‘feminist’ has found himself amid another controversy. An old clip of the YouTuber age-shaming Ankita Lokhande during a conversation with her and her husband Vicky has been going viral. Elvish told Ankita that she would be fit to play Alia Bhatt’s mother as she had turned 40. This didn’t sit well with many people, leading to online backlash.

In the viral clip, Elvish Yadav was seen saying, “Wikipedia aapki umar 40 batata hai toh Alia Bhatt ke saath movie karoge? Maa ka role karoge?” Ankita Lokhande was startled by this remark and replied by asking if a 40-year-old woman was considered to be a ‘buddhi.’ She said that she didn’t look that old. Lokhande also pointed out how she played the role of a mother very early on in her career in the popular show Pavitra Rishta.

However, Elvish kept insisting on his question about her playing Alia Bhatt’s mother. She finally replied saying that she didn’t look old enough to play Bhatt’s mother. But he didn’t stop his open age-shaming just there. He asked Ankita and Vicky Jain to start planning a baby now, or they would end up welcoming a grandson instead. The actress’ expressions clearly showcased all of our emotions.

Casually age-shaming a powerful woman on the internet is nowhere near being a feminist which Elvish earlier claimed to be. laughing at such crass things only takes us back one step as a society. We could see how the actress was uncomfortable with the line of questioning and how one’s personal life should never be a topic of discussion. We can only hope the YouTuber reads and learns about the true meaning of respect and feminism.
