Ekta Kapoor To Be Honoured With Directorate Award At International Emmys 2023: “Overflowing With Humility…”

Ekta has also been honoured with several prestigious awards in our country, including the Padma Shri in 2020. And now, the director is all set to be bestowed at the upcoming International Emmy Awards. Ekta Kapoor will be honoured with the Directorate Award for her contribution to Indian television. Taking to Instagram, Ekta Kapoor shared the official announcement from the International Academy Of Television Arts And Sciences. Overwhelmed at the honour being bestowed on her, Ekta wrote in the caption of the post that she is ‘overflowing with humility and exhilaration’ She also wrote that she has gotten an opportunity to represent her nation on this international platform. Ekta Kapoor also added that television has been a medium of self-discovery for her and that she crafted stories for women.

On the work front, Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor produced Dream Girl 2 under the Balaji Telefilms banner. The production house is also going to bankroll the upcoming pan-India film Vrushabha which stars Mohanlal in the lead.
