Sapphire Singer Ed Sheeran Learnt About Arijit Singh After THIS Song, Shares His Memories From Kolkata

Their song ‘Sapphire’ is currently everyone’s obsession, very obvious. Ed Sheeran recently opened up about his friendship and how he met the singer. The International pop artist also shared the anecdote of visiting Arijit Singh’s house in West Bengal. Read on to know more about it.
What Did Ed Sheeran Say?
Ed Sheeran shared a clip from his scooty ride with Arijit Singh and penned a long note to praise the latter. Ed revealed that the first song of Arijit Singh he heard was Aashiqui 2’s Tum Hi Ho. The singer further recalled how he instantly searched for him and got talking. Ed Sheeran revealed that he had performed with Arijit Singh during a concert in London and it was also the first time when he made Arijit hear the first draft of Sapphire. As per the Photograph singer, he was in contact with the Aashiqui 2 singer through mail.
Ed Sheeran also wrote that Arijit Singh invited him to his hometown, in West Bengal where they completed the composition of their song Sapphire. Ed visited the Indian singer’s hometown with his father, and they had a blast. He also cherished the memories of riding around the town in a city and watching a sunset together. Ed Sheeran called it the best times. In this long note, Ed also revealed that Arijit Singh made him learn and pronounce Punjabi, and also added that their Punjabi version will release soon.
