Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have kept their relationship relatively private, but due to a surprise slip-up by Ed Sheeran, it appears wedding bells may soon be ringing. In a recent interview clip with Vanity Fair, Ed Sheeran let the cat out of the bag by mentioning that the pair has already sent out save-the-date cards for the wedding, something neither Selena Gomez nor Benny Blanco had publicly confirmed.
Ed Sheeran Reveals Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco’s Wedding Plans
The surprise came during a lie detector section, in which Sheeran was connected to a polygraph machine and questioned over a set of intimate questions. When he was questioned about his opinion regarding the couple, Sheeran casually stated he had gotten a save-the-date card from them. His answer caught fans off guard, particularly given that the couple had already found themselves hinting that they were not in a hurry to marry.
The news has caused instant online talk, with fans questioning if the wedding is taking place sooner than anticipated. Neither Gomez nor Blanco has said anything regarding the news, though Sheeran’s reference appeared natural and spontaneous. Ed Sheeran continued to state that Benny Blanco had been a guest at his intimate wedding to long-term girlfriend Cherry Seaborn back in 2018. Adding more suspense to the moment was when Ed Sheeran further confessed in the same interview that he hasn’t selected a favourite track from Gomez and Blanco’s joint album I Said I Love You First, released in March 2025. The album was the couple’s first business endeavour together since announcing their romance and was a hit among fans for its emotional lyrics and relaxed atmosphere.

While Gomez and Blanco continue to stay tight-lipped about their next steps, Ed Sheeran’s accidental reveal may have just given fans a rare look into what’s happening behind the scenes. If the save-the-date cards are real, a star-studded wedding might just be around the corner/
