Kriti Sanon’s film Do Patti, which released on Netflix, received mixed reactions from the audience. However, the film’s song ‘Raanjhan’ got a lot of love from music lovers. The track made its way to our favourites playlist, and it’s back again, making headlines but for some controversial reasons. The Sachet–Parampara composed song is facing plagiarism issues by an international music producer. Here’s what we know about it.
What Is The Plagiarism Case?
As per the latest news reports, Kriti Sanon’s Do Patti song ‘Raanjhan’ has been accused of plagiarism by an international singer, KMKZ. He made strong claims against the song in a video posted on social media. In the video, the international music producers claimed that T-series picked some beats from his his song and used it for ‘Raanjhan’. He further claimed that his music was used in ‘Raanjhan’ without his permission or even any kind of involvement. The producer accused the makers of lifting his work from YouTube and turning it into a famous track in India.
The music producers also alleged that he had put the song on YouTube two years back, and the makers picked the piano beats from the song without giving him any credit or even money. He also acknowledged the popularity of the song on various platforms like Spotify. The producer urged his followers on social media to make the video viral so the makers get to know about the same. In the video, the composer also demanded a plaque in return.
As of now, there have been no response to the plagiarism accusations.
