Divya Khossla Says She Was Barred From Acting After Marriage To Bhushan Kumar

Bollywood actor Divya Khossla is married to Bhushan Kumar, the owner of mega music label T-Series. But the rumours about them hitting a rough patch in their marriage have been afloat for a while. And when she dropped her husband’s surname on her social media, the rumours ignited. But the businessman later clarified that it was due to astrological reasons. And in recent updates, Khossla opened up about how she wasn’t allowed to act after marriage.

Divya Khossla recently appeared on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiya’s podcast. And during this chat, she was asked how she got into directing films and music videos. She said that she had always been creative, but her wedding got fixed even before the release of Ab Tumhare Hawale. Since she got married to Bhushan Kumar, her family didn’t allowed her to act.
Divya also said that she began learning cinematography and videography. She was still studying when she married, so she pursued editing and cinematography, directing her first music video for Sonu Nigam’s father, Agam Nigam, which was a huge success. For the unversed, Divya got married to the T-Series CEO when she was just 21. They got married in 2005 at the Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu, and they later welcomed their first child, Ruhaan, in 2011.
However, everything wasn’t as smooth at first. During the shooting of her first film, Bhushan Kumar fell in love with Divya Khossla. But she kept her distance and said that each meeting would be strictly professional. Soon, he tried connecting with her through messages, but she didn’t give him a positive reply due to his image. The actress revealed that it was her mother who pushed her to marry Bhushan. She said that she started liking him when he invited her to his sister’s wedding, after which her parents approved of him.
