It sparked controversy after the Savi star Divya Khossla bashed the makers for putting out fake box-office numbers despite the theatres going empty. What Did Divya Khossla Say?
Divya Khossla spoke about Karan Johar’s reaction to her claims about Alia Bhatt’s Jigra. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actress criticised KJo for calling any woman a fool and said that such derogatory words were also written for her in PR articles. Divya also questioned unethical practices by the makers and stated that the industry is not ruled by a handful of people. Divya Khossla firmly stated that she did not need to do a PR stunt because she is a well-known face already.
Talking about the fake box office collection, the Savi star stated that a well-established actor like Alia Bhatt shouldn’t have to do such tactics, instead should’ve let the audience decide the fate of her film based on its merit. Divya said that the theatres for Alia Bhatt’s Jigra went empty and yet claims of the film opening with breaking box-office numbers were made. She added that the correction needed to be made. Divya Khossla also commented on how small Production houses could not survive after Covid and only the ones with money made it through.

Divya Khossla also spoke about the similarities between her film Savi and Alia Bhatt’s Jigra and said that both films tell the story of jailbreak. The actress claimed that Jigra is a copy of Savi. She also added the film’s rights were bought from Mahesh Bhatt’s film The Next Three Days.
