When Divya first entered the industry, she found herself standing apart from the conventional image of a Bollywood actress. Amid a sea of tall and slender figures, she described herself as short and, as she put it, “busty.” “I never felt that I looked like a heroine,” Divya admitted. “Instead, I taught myself how to be one.” and fully immersed myself in that experience until I honed my craft. She gradually shed the inhibitions that held her back and found solace in her passion for acting.

Divya’s evolution wasn’t just about transforming her appearance; it was about embracing her true self. She fondly recalled her affinity for chiffon sarees and her zest for experimentation. As her confidence grew, so did her choices. Through her dedication and commitment to her craft, Divya managed to change the perception of people of her through her work.

A particularly intriguing part of her narrative was her openness about her “busty” figure. With a hint of humor, she revealed, “People used to say I am busty, so when I used to do a scene I would ask, ‘Should I open one more button?'” Because for her that’s her asset, she is an asset and she feels sexy and men and women both find her sexy and charming.

Divya’s narrative resonates with anyone who has ever felt like they didn’t quite fit the norm, proving that real beauty comes from embracing who we are, rather than trying to become what others expect us to be.
