Disha Patani’s father, Jagdish Singh Patani, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), has fallen victim to a scam that has left him swindled out of 25 lakh. The incident occurred after Jagdish Patani was promised a prestigious position in a government commission by a group of fraudsters.

According to the police, the scam began when Jagdish Patani was introduced to a man named Shivendra Pratap Singh, who claimed to have strong political connections. Singh then introduced Patani to two other individuals, Diwakar Garg and Acharya Jayaprakash. These individuals assured Patani that they could secure him a high-ranking position such as chairman or vice-chairman of a government commission. Believing their promises, Jagdish Patani trusted them and transferred a total of 25 lakh, which included 5 lakh in cash and 20 lakh via bank transfers to three different accounts.

After several months of waiting and seeing no progress, Jagdish Patani began to demand the return of his money. The group responded aggressively, issuing threats and refusing to return the funds. To further manipulate Jagdish Patani, they introduced a person named Himanshu, who pretended to be an officer with special duties, reinforcing the false claims about their political clout.
