Director Maggie Kang Reveals How BTS Influenced KPop Demon Hunters And Armys Are Proud!

Netflix’s blockbuster film KPop Demon Hunters has taken the world by storm and is arguably one of the biggest films of the year. From its action scenes to music, it has gained lots of love from fans and critics. And as the name suggests, the film takes inspiration from K-pop stars. Maggie Kang Opens Up On BTS’s Influence Behind KPop Demon Hunters
In an interview with etalk, the host called herself an Army and asked director Maggie Kang about how BTS influenced the film. In response, the director stated that she attended a BTS concert at the World Bowl after the film was sold and was blown away by the passion of 50,000 fans singing along to every Korean lyric. Maggie Kang found the experience magical and that inspired the emotions and excitement felt in the film.

Moreover, according to Netflix’s Tudum website, KPop Demon Hunters has garnered 266 million views as of early September, which makes it the platform’s most-viewed content. Crazy, right? But what’s even crazier is that just a few weeks earlier, it was behind Wednesday Season 1 and Squid Game Season 1 but quickly climbed to the top spot.

This shows how much love the film is receiving. Well, not just the film, its soundtrack is also doing wonders on global music charts. The lead single, titled ‘Golden’, has dominated the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and has held the No. 1 spot for weeks. Notably, other songs from the film, like ‘Free’, ‘Your Idol’, ‘How It’s Done’, and others, are also ranking on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
