There is a particular scene in âKufarâ, which is a shot of a womanâs legs while the singer sings a line that roughly translates to âDoorway to heavenâ. This scene was highly criticised by social media users for being very inappropriate. The fans expressed disappointment in Diljit Dosanjh as they had not expected this from the artist. Now, the singer and even actor Manushi Chhillar have commented on the controversy. Manushi clarified that it was not her shot, however, she also opined that people should be respectful towards the artist who did the scene. She wrote this on her X handle.
On the other hand, Diljit Dosanjh had also addressed this backlash during one of his live sessions. The actor and singer that he was clueless about what was happening. Diljit said that he was just standing and lip-syncing with no clue about what was happening around.
In the latest updates, the singer also received threats from a pro-Khalistani group for touching Amitabh Bachchanâs feet during Kaun Banega Crorepati show.
