Bollywood actor Swara Bhaskar recently opened up about undergoing two rounds of IVF with anonymous donors when she was single. Though both rounds failed, she wanted to become a mother before meeting her now-husband, Fahad Ahmad. The actor, who has participated in the reality show Rise & Fall, revealed her journey to motherhood during a chat with fellow contestant Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary.
Farah Khan Reveals Trying IVF
In a recent viral clip from the show, Swara Bhaskar recalled how she considered becoming a single mother through IVF before meeting her husband Fahad Ahmad. She said that she had even convinced her parents that she wanted to have a child without waiting for marriage. She further added that her parents initially took some time to register this decision of hers but eventually agreed to support her. However, they also warned her about the struggles and challenges of raising a baby as a single mother in India. Bhaskar then went ahead with two rounds of IVF using anonymous sperm donors, but unfortunately both attempts failed.
For the unversed, Swara met Fahad Ahmad during a protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in New Delhi in January 2020. She recalled how their initial friendship soon turned romantic and that things moved very quickly, after which they established a relationship. The two had a court wedding. Soon after that, Swara and Fahad registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act on January 6, 2023. They announced their marriage to the public on February 16 of the same year. Then in September 2023, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Raabiyaa, on September 2023.
