Shah Rukh Khan while attending the Locarno Film Festival revealed he thought Aryan Khan resembled Jackie Chan at birth!

At the 77th Locarno Film Festival, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared an intriguing anecdote about his son, Aryan Khan, and his resemblance to Jackie Chan, one of Shah Rukh’s favourite actors. The revelation came during a heartfelt conversation with Giona A Nazzaro, the festival’s artistic director, where Shah Rukh discussed various facets of his film career.

During the discussion, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his admiration for Jackie Chan, citing him as a significant influence not only for his acting but also for his physical comedy and stunt work. SRK further added how Mr Jackie Chan will always be among his favourite actors. He’s funny, physically amazing, and acts well and he continues to inspire him. It was this admiration that led to a humorous yet fond comparison between Jackie Chan and his newborn son years ago. Shah Rukh recalled the moment he first saw Aryan after his birth, noting, that Aryan looked very Jackie Chan-ish to him.

Motivated by this initial impression, Shah Rukh humorously remarked that he started training Aryan in taekwondo, half-hoping he might grow up to emulate the martial arts superstar. He revealed that he really wanted Aryan to be Jackie Chan reflecting on his aspirations for his son. The Bollywood icon also reminisced about his meeting with Jackie Chan in Saudi Arabia a few years ago, describing the martial arts legend as sweet and humble, and joking about Jackie Chan’s promise to open a Chinese restaurant in partnership. Shah Rukh’s fondness for Chan was further evidenced by his incorporation of several tributes to the actor in his 2011 superhero film, Ra.One.
Shah Rukh Khan’s appearance at the festival was notable as he became the first Indian to receive the prestigious Pardo alla Carriera, or Career Leopard Award. Meanwhile, Aryan Khan is stepping into the creative side of cinema with his directorial debut in the show Stardom.
