Did You Know Shefali Jariwala Had A Heart Attack Reportedly Due To Anti-Ageing Medication?

The untimely death of Shefali Jariwala at the mere age of 42 has left the public stunned and grieving. Most notably known as the legendary Kaanta Laga girl of the early 2000s, Shefali’s death, caused by cardiac arrest, has set off a crucial discussion, one that is making headlines and how. According to numerous reports, she had a heart attack due to taking anti-ageing medication on an empty stomach. Here’s all you need to know about the harmful effects of such a practice,

Early reports confirm that Shefali was taken to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and friends after she collapsed at home. Doctors declared her dead soon after. Although the official reason was sudden cardiac arrest, investigators detected evidence that she was self-medicating, especially with anti-ageing supplements and skin treatments such as glutathione. That finding has created questions about what kind of influence these substances can have, particularly when they are used without medical supervision.

One worrisome detail: Shefali was said to be fasting on the day she collapsed. Experts warn that taking high-dose supplements or drugs such as glutathione when one is hungry can have unpredictable consequences. With no food in the stomach, some chemicals are absorbed more quickly and intensely, with higher chances of serious side effects such as allergic reactions, gastrointestinal upset, or even heart strain.

Several anti-ageing pills vow miracle outcomes, youthful skin, more energy, hormones in balance but not many of them are regulated by medical authorities. Most of these supplements are sold over-the-counter or online through influencers, as part of a health business that is driven by anxiety about appearance and promotes quick fixes rather than durable care. Here are some of the most common side effects of taking anti-ageing medication on an empty stomach

1) Cardiac Complications

Irregular heartbeat, tachycardia, or cardiac arrest might happen, particularly if stimulants or hormone-modulating agents are used.
Certain anti-ageing supplements may disrupt electrolyte balance or raise blood pressure, putting pressure on the heart.

2) Hormonal Imbalance

Most anti-ageing products play with hormones (such as HGH or estrogen supplements), which can also derail your endocrine system.
This can lead to mood swings, anxiety, depression, sleep deprivation, and even infertility over time.

3) Liver and Kidney Damage

Uncontrolled supplements may overburden the liver or kidneys with toxins, man-made substances, or heavy metals.
Extended use can result in organ failure or chronic illness, particularly when used with fasting or dehydration.
