Who Is Geeta Kapur?
Geeta Kapur became a member of Farah Khan’s dance group at the age of 17 and started off as a background dancer. She then worked with Farah on some of the largest Bollywood blockbusters at the time, such as Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Mohabbatein, and Main Hoon Na. Her choreography work later grew to the extent that she played crucial roles behind many hit numbers and stage shows. One of her most memorable collaborations with Farah was the hot sizzling number Sheila Ki Jawani of Tees Maar Khan.
With the passage of time, Geeta progressed from being an assistant to initiating choreography herself in big movies such as Fiza, Asoka, Saathiya, Heyy Babyy, and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. She has also choreographed grand events like the Pepsi IPL 2013 opening ceremony and overseas concerts like Temptation Reloaded.
Geeta’s television breakthrough was in 2008 with Dance India Dance, when she became famous as the mentor of Geeta Ki Gang.
