On August 25, 2021, Dharmendra shared a picture from his first encounter with Kamini Kaushal. He wrote, “Pehli film ‘Shaheed’ ki heroine Kamini Kaushal Ke saath pehli mulaqat ki pehli tasvir Donon ke chihron par massart ikk pyaar bhari introduction.” The late actress’s influence stretched well beyond her collaboration with Dharmendra. She began her career in 1946 with the critically praised film ‘Neecha Nagar’ and has since starred beside great actors such as Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, and Raj Kapoor.
She made her final appearance in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in 2022, at the age of 95. Sajan Narain, a family friend, confirmed her death on Friday and shared details of her final moments. “She died at her Mumbai residence late Thursday night. “She would have been 99 in February,” Sajan Narain told PTI. The late actress is survived by her three kids, Shravan, Vidur, and Rahul. She died in her Mumbai home at the age of 98.

Earlier this week, rumours circulated that Dharmendra had died in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. His family, from wife Hema Malini to Esha Deol, moved to social media to refute the bogus allegations, assuring fans that the actor was alive and responding to therapy.
