Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s first film Ishaqzaade in 2012 was a success with people praising both of them. Back at the time, Chopra had already garnered love from her debut film Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl alongside Ranveer Singh. While the actress has a fun personality, Arjun Kapoor came with a serious attitude which made Chopra irritating according to him.

Arjun Kapoor Thought Parineeti Chopra Was Irritating

During a recent interview with Mashable India, Arjun Kapoor said that he was very against Parineeti Chopra during the casting of Ishaqzaade. To back her statement, the Singham Again star said that she used to talk a lot and was very bad at reading. Recalling one of the days from their shooting, Kapoor said that he had just come on set and cracked a joke.

Now, instead of laughing Parineeti Chopra replied by saying the Gen Z lingo LOL. To this, Arjun Kapoor said, “Can you just laugh? It’s not a chat. So, I used to find her irritating.” He also revealed that she used to talk in emojis which led to him thinking that she was not serious about the part. She said that he was waiting for someone to be cast in the role of Zoya and when Parineeti Chopra eventually came, she didn’t seem interested after which Kapoor thought that his career was over.

He said that because Parineeti Chopra was doing Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl with Ranveer Singh, he thought she didn’t have anything at stake. At this time he was just 24 and wanted to make a serious career. But during a mock shoot, he was shocked to see her act and even forgot his lines saying that she had fire in her eyes after which he admitted that she knew what she was doing.
