Timothée Chalamet At The Oscars 2026
Well, Timothee Chalamet did not tumble down the stairs during the 2026 Oscars, and the recent claims are false. The viral rumour stemmed from a bogus tweet by the X account @DiscussingFish, who distributed a falsified image claiming Timothee fell dramatically during the event. The post stated @TheAcademy as its source, but eventually, the official Academy account called these reports fake. The viral image is actually from the 2011 Cannes Film Festival when a security guard tried to remove a man from the red carpet, and ended up falling tragically.
Previously, Timothee Chalamet received a lot of attention for a comment on opera. During a Variety and CNN Town Hall event in February 2026, the actor said that opera and ballet were no longer relevant art forms. Timothee stated that he would not participate in something that is no longer relevant in today’s world, and that many people are interested in ballet or opera.
However, as soon as Timothee recognised how much his remarks would hurt many people’s sentiments, he covered it up with a joke. However, his attempt failed to shield him from global indignation, as the video rapidly went viral, and the damage was already done. However, during the 2026 Oscars, host Conan O’Brien mocked Timothee’s controversial statement.
