During a chat with Variety, Sydney Sweeney opened up about the dating rumours between her and Glen Powell and said that the media ‘did it themselves.’ The actress said that there was no flirting between them, that the tabloids made it up, and kept pushing those stories. She said, “Even if we were just standing next to each other, they’d say, ‘Look, they’re two inches apart!’” The Euphoria actress called her a ‘good friend’ and said that they both had mutual care for each other. Sweeney said that she ‘loves being with him.’

Her comments surprisingly contradicted her co-star Glen’s previous ones, where he credited her for playing up their ‘effortless chemistry’ to sell their film. This did wonders for them as the romantic comedy ended up making more than 100 million dollars at the box office. And now, Sweeney has claimed that it was the media who created those romance rumours between them, which made people think that the two were dating.
