In a recent turn of events, actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner was allegedly killed by their son, Nick, as per multiple reports. The news of their death has shaken the entire Hollywood as well as the internet, with many asking for answers. Police have not yet confirmed this news. The Los Angeles Fire Department was called to a home to provide aid as per reports, and upon arrival, they found a man, 78, and a woman, 68, dead, and they were identified as Rob and Michele.

According to PEOPLE, Nick, 32, is being questioned, but no arrests have been made yet. Rob was a filmmaker, producer, and actor with many loved films like This Is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me (1986),  The Princess Bride (1989), When Harry Met Sally, and more. Rob was born in the Bronx, New York, in 1947. His father was Carl Reiner, a famed comedian, and his mother was Estelle Lebost, an actress and singer.

Rob and Michele met when Rob directed. When Harry met Sally, they married in 1989 and had three children. Rob was previously married to the late Penny Marshall, who died in 2018 at the age of 75 due to diabetic complications. In a 2016 interview with the outlet, Nick discussed his years-long struggle with heroin addiction, which began in his early teens and finally led to him living on the streets. He claimed he cycled in and out of treatment starting around the age of 15, but as his addiction worsened, he moved further away from home and spent significant time homeless in several states.

Nick told PEOPLE that his chaotic era of addiction, which included evenings and sometimes weeks spent sleeping outside, inspired the semi-autobiographical film Being Charlie, which he co-wrote.
