What Did Aditya Dhar Say?
Director Aditya Dhar reposted many stories on his social media handle that sang praises for his film. One of them mentioned a ‘video maker’ who attempted to criticise the film but received a lot of backlash from the public. The reposting of this particular story looks like a dig at YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, although no direct names have been mentioned here. For the unversed, Dhruv Rathee had called Dhurandhar ‘a propaganda-driven film’ that was based on lies. In the cryptic post by Aditya Dhar, it was also mentioned how Dhurandhar is rewriting the history of India Cinema, and that the big box office collections were also organic. The story also bashed people who were making claims about the ‘corporate bookings’ and read that they were also silent now.

For the unversed, Dhurandhar released on December 5, in theatres and has received a lot of love from the audience. The standout performance in the film was Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait. Several clips of the actor’s performance, especially him dancing on FA9LA went viral on social media. The film will have a second part which is scheduled to release on March, 2026.
