Exclusive: Diana Penty On Working With Diljit Dosanjh, “He Makes You Feel Safe…”

Everyone’s a fan of Diljit Dosanjh, even his co-stars! In a conversation with The Male Feminist, hosted by Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Diana Penty opened up about her experience working with Diljit Dosanjh for their upcoming movie, Detective Sherdil.  She shared some behind-the-scenes stories about working with the global star and praised him for his respectful and gentle nature. Diana On Working With Diljit Dosanjh

In the exclusive interview, Diana shared about the time when the entire cast of Detective Sherdil were filming in Budapest. Diljit Dosanjh’s hit song ‘Lover’ had just been released at the time, and he was actively promoting it. The Punjabi singer was almost making a new reel every day to promote the song, and Diana recalls how all the cast members also featured in his reels, doing either some dance or hookstep in the background.

Coming to the topic of Feminism, Diana Penty praised Diljit by saying how he is a lovely person. “He is very professional and very polite; he makes you feel safe.” Said Penty. The most important part of the film set is the feeling of safety. Diljit always made sure to make his co-stars feel safe. Diana elaborated on how much the film set environment affects everything about an actor, including their performance. It creates a good synergy on set, and Diana felt incredibly comfortable on the Detective Sherdil set.

About Diana Penty’s Career

In her professional life, Diana Penty recently starred in the hit film Chhaava, a film about the  Maratha-Mughal conflict, which co-starred Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. She also starred in the Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, directed by Abhishek Sharma about IAS officer Ashwat, who is tasked to lead an operation to develop and test nuclear weapons. The actress is most known for her film, Cocktail, starring alongside Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan.
