Dhurandhar On OTT
For the ones who don’t have the time to step out for the theatres or just want to enjoy Dhurandhar in the comfort of their homes, it will be streaming on Netflix. It is set to launch in 2026 and will stream between January 16, 2026 and January 20, 2026. Dhurandhar, a three-hour film with 4K clarity, is sure to captivate viewers. Aditya Raj Kaul, Dhurandhar’s research associate, disclosed the story behind the film.
Aditya Raj Kaul disclosed in a social media post that he has known Aditya Dhar for a long time, dating back before he began working on Uri: The Surgical Strike. Aditya went on to say that he learnt about the unexplained assassination of a man named Zahid Akhund in Karachi from a reliable source. Zahid Akhund, one of the hijackers of the IC-814 aircraft, was slain after 23 years of hijacking. Aditya Raj Kaul revealed that Aditya Dhar was currently working on his storyboard. The two got into a chat, and one thing led to another, resulting in their involvement in the film.
The film, which depicts extreme violence, is set against the backdrop of major events such as the hijacking of IC-814 in 1999 and the attack on Parliament in 2001. Though the references are vague, the characters in the film appear real.
